Casey Castignetti Hockey Night In Canada Living and playing hockey in Alaska, I have had the opportunity to travel to many interesting, and usually, cold places. Last year, like many years before, my travel hockey team went to play in Vancouver in a tournament over christmas break. We were lucky enough to visit at a time when the World Junior Championships were being held in Vancouver and there was a full schedule of games for us to see. Soon after we arrived my teammates and I found ourselves at The General Motors Place surrounded by swarms of drunk and wild Canucks, which normally wouldn't make me the slightest bit uncomfortable, but this certain situation was completely different. These Canadians were not just there for a hockey game, they were there to watch their young Canadian sons destroy the U.S. team. At first we decided to try and blend in and keep our American identities unknown, but after hearing and witnessing the U.S. team and fans being heckled by all the drunk Canadians we quickly changed our minds. So for the rest of the game
