CURRENT AIR CARGO SECURITY REGULATIONS 2 Current Security Regulations for Air Cargo Operations Air cargo security has several regulations aimed at promoting the effectiveness of security. Just like any other policy, air cargo operations has several drawbacks that is why there is a need for a regulatory framework. There are several security regulations on air cargo. The most important ones are; risk assessment, security consignment standards, and security supply chain. The security laws tend to neglect terrorism activities, which threatens security of passengers even though various security measures are in place. Security regulations The least important regulation is the supply chain, which promotes standards for governance and other principles that secure freight upstream. The regulation prevents unauthorized interference with cargo until the destination is reached. This regulation has several tools. One of them is the secure freight program that regulates the security of the cargo industry. The other tool is the standards manual that outlines the scope of compliance
