Tim Thyne 02/08/08 Becoming A Person of Influence: Chapter 7 Summary A leader discovers the hidden chasm between where things are and where things would better be, and strings up a makeshift bridge to attempt the crossing. A leader is one who sees more than others see, who sees farther than others see, and who sees before others do. A good navigator helps people identify their destination. When you consider people’s passions, potential, and vision, you are better able to see where they really want to go because you view them with more depth and discernment. Happiness, wealth, and success are by-products of goal-setting; they cannot be the goal themselves.
