The judges, of both the SC and the inferior courts , shall hold their offices during good behavior, and shall, at stated times, receive for their services, a compensation, which shall not be diminished during their continuance in office. Jurisdiction of the Federal Courts (Article III, Section II, paragraph 1) o All cases in law and equity arising under the consituton, the laws of the US, and treaties o Cases affecting ambassadors, public ministers, and consuls o Cases of admiralty and maritime jurisdiction o Controversies to which the US is a party o Controversies between two or more states
