Daniel Chandler Corporate Responsibility to Stakeholders January 8, 2008 Yes, responsibility to the stakeholders can easily dig into the pockets of the stockholders. As a past manager and an employee I do have a unique gift for looking on both sides of the window. As a manager my primary goal was increasing sales and profits to put more money in my bosses pockets, but as an employee I wanted nothing more than to feel secure in my position and in the corporation. Employees do love to believe that the harder they work the more money they can make, but this not always true. Although if it is a good company, that is exactly what they can expect, but again that same corporation might just work those same employees so hard and so long that in the end the employee may develop a distinct hatred for said company… sorry, a little personal again. It is always a back and forth battle between the investment in the employees and the return to
