Daniel Roberts Instructor: John Yudelson Course: Communications 101 Title: Nuclear Power Mandate Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to believe in the benefits of nuclear power and back my power plan of bringing the United States power production utility to fifty percent nuclear. Central Idea: The United States lacks the natural resources to sustain the current power consumption and instating new nuclear power plants will allow us to continue using at our current rates, and produce cleaner energy which will be more environmentally friendly. Introduction I. Imagine if The United States did not depend on foreign Countries for oil, or other natural resources. Maybe it is impossible believe in an idea so crazy, but I have a plan to Unite and fix America’s power problems. The solution is easy and has been available since World War 2, the answer is Nuclear Power. Now the first thing that comes to mind when the word nuclear is mention might often be fear, danger, or even evil. However if the proper precautions steps are taken, harnessing the energy from split atoms a process known as fission can produce the energy needed to halt our foreign dependencies.
