Elizabeth Easterling History 1302 Dr. Courtney Welch Life is Beautiful The movie, Life is beautiful is a movie that tells viewers a story of Jewish family going through the pain and despair of a family going through the holocaust. This movie is supposed to give off the sense of delight, and some mild laughter. This was not a normal behavior. Most families were suffering, and could not find much to be happy about. It was the holocaust, a horrible time for the Jews. The Nazis punished the Jews by putting them in concentration camps just because of their religion. They lost all of their belongings, and in most cases even their families. Most of the time, it would even lead to death for the Jews, by being placed in what was known as the gas chambers. Gas chambers were big pits were Jews were thrown in dead or alive, until they burned. Over thousands of Jews were killed, and only a minimum survived. This movie reflected more good times of the day and time rather then all the bad times.
