This enzyme has 2  lys  side chains, which can be  carbamylated  with  carbon dioxide.  Ion  Mg2+  is attracted and binds to the negatively  charged  carbamylated-lys , and the enzyme is then activated. One of  the reactions catalyzed by this enzyme requires water as a substrate  to form a  hydrated intermediate  (this is not a hydrolysis reaction, but  hydroxylation reaction.) 3. Describe the reaction catalyzed by this enzyme and give the  structural formula for all substrates and products. 1
