James Titus Theatre Appreciation 161.4 Richard November 20, 2007 As You Like It As You Like It is a love story that starts off in tragedy and ends in marriage. The man character Orlando, acted out by Jason Zendnick, is the youngest son of Sir Rowland. He is trying to find is place in the world. Troubled by his older brother Oliver, he falls in love with Rosalind, acted out by Katie McBroom. Not knowing that the two were both banished by Duke Fredrick, they head towards the Forest of Addenne where they cross paths with each other. Rosalind disguised as a man, meets Orlando in the forest. Then she tests his love not knowing that Rosalind is in front of him the whole time. In the end, the two become married as well as some town’s people. The actors were well prepared for their individual roles. Four roles played well to me would have to be Orlando, Oliver, Touchstone, and Phebe. Jason Zednick played Orlando well. He gave the whole hero persona, the young man fighting for a noble cause.
