This strategic audit report onHonda motor co. Ltdis meant to give you an insight of how well it is doing in comparison to its closest competitor, Toyota. With the topics in my report covering a wide area of Honda and Toyota, I have gathered information concrete enough for decision making based on their secondary data extracted from their annual reports for 2012 – 2014, as well as various other sources on the internet.Honda’s current situation remains largely unchanged for the past few years, where their lines of business remained the same making automobiles, motorcycles, power products, aircraft and providing financial services, where their aircraft line is still awaiting certification till today, with theirgoals of completing it by this year end.My analysis of the Board of Directors revealed that Honda’s current CEO, Takanobu Ito, would be stepping down in June 2015 during the annual shareholder’s meeting and replaced by Takahiro Hachigo , where a news video on Youtube indirectly pointed that the cause of Honda’s declining sales and product recalls was a result of his leadership.
