As previously discussed in the textbook, a few chapters back, eyewitness testimony is notas accurate as we are led to believe. Everyone remembers the same events differently, which canhave great repercussions on a trial if witnesses give contradicting testimonies. The jury will notknow who to believe, as either one of them could be wrong. And the person who is mostimpacted is the person on trial as testimony may not be completely accurate from the events thathappened.Part of this issue is due to memory differences, but part it is due to differences in howpeople visualize things in their heads. When giving a testimony, the witness will most likely be thinking about thescene while explaining what they saw. If someone has a harder time coming up with a mentalimage, they may struggle to remember details that someone with a better mental image mayremember. There are some people who have what is colloquially known as a photographicmemory, so their imagery is better than the average persons. While a person with such a highamount of recall would be extremely beneficial to a trial, it is pretty rare. Most people aresomewhere in the middle in terms of imagery. Also, imagery and spatial images can differ
