Professor HongManagement27 April 2015IP Team Analysis PaperAt first, my IP team’s process would have trouble maintaining deadlines, meeting up consistently and getting along with each other well. However, time, experience, and methods learned in management have allowed us to growsubstantially as a team. In the beginning of the semester, management taught usabout the 6 pillars of deterring conflict. Although we tried to implement thosemethods to have a smooth and productive team, it took time to adjust and establishconsistency. An example of this is that sometimes we would focus too much onhumor or put off a lot of work to focus on work besides the IP project. As thesemester went on, we all began to realize how much this project meant to us in thelong run and a realization of the expectations we had for each other. Expectationscould actually hurt performance in the group as seen by the concept of the self-fulfilling prophecy, but through deliberation it actually allowed the group to grow.
