Extraordinary Qualifiers - Extraordinary qualities that very few people have and everyone knows what they are. 2. Esoteric Distinguish a person but don’t know what they are. B. Assess availability “Is he available?” Does he have a wedding ring? Is he around girls or friends? C. Find an opening line Go to talk w/them. 1. Innocuous Is where you simply ask a function “Can you hand me a beer?” Trying to get a conversation going irrelevant to the conversation. 2. Flippant “kind of’ use. The pick up lines. The “cute” ones. Don’t seem to work very well. 3. Direct Approach Raise the issue of getting to know you directly. D. Find an integrative topic Find something else to talk about. Keep the conversation going. Ask open questions (closed questions lead to yes or no responses) and people will give an ice berg answer (want to be asked more). E. Present a “come-on” self
