Long Distance Relationships I. Definition A. Distance - degree of accessibility. B. Access – when you see them. II. Advantages to LDRs A. Personality Characteristics - 1. “sailor on every boat” – many relationships and they don’t know when you are being faithful. 2. high achiever – high achievers like long distance relationships because you want to put effort in your achievements and still have the comfort of the person. B. Positive consequences of LDRs 1. More control - you get to decide what you want to do. 2. More personal time – more time to do what you want to do because you have time. 3. More friendships – impossible to keep a relationship and friends, so with LDR’s you can have more friends 4. Other relationships – you can have other partners (not good) 5. – its like seeing them for the first time. Believe they are nicer or better looking and when you see them you put on a better show. 6.
