Budgeting
Budgeting is one of the most useful skills for a student to develop. Budgeting plays an important
role in a student’s life while continuing past graduation because a budget allows an individual to
view how much money they spend on essentials and non-essentials compared to what their
income is allowing them to afford. Seeing a budget of all expenses paid in a month can identify
areas that the individual can save money in, such as using coupons when grocery shopping to cut
down on grocery expenses. Budgeting allows an individual to determine how much money they
can set aside for emergencies, short-term goals, and long-term goals.
