Hello, my name is Hailey Henry and I am a nursing student with clinical experience in health and nutrition related to regular exercise. Regular exercise will improve your health by helping you control your weight, reduce your risk of heart diseases, and help your body manage blood sugar and insulin levels. Exercise can quite literally take some of the weight of the world off of your shoulders. Regular exercise can help you control your weight. According to the CDC, More physical activity increases the number of calories your body uses for energy or burns off. Running burns off the most calories but, other excellent options include using a stationary bike, jogging, and swimming. More calories must be burned off than the calories consumed in food and drinks for weight loss to occur. Reducing your weight with regular exercise helps to decrease joint pain by reducing the amount of weight that your body has to support. This bar graph demonstrates the amount of miles a person needs to run in 60 minutes to burn a certain amount of calories. Heart disease is the silent killer that you can prevent from attacking. Regular exercise can reduce your risk of heart disease. Exercise stimulates nitric oxide to open up the blood vessels and control blood pressure. Regular exercise increases the HDL (good cholesterol) levels while decreasing the LDL (bad cholesterol) levels and, according to Story, researchers found that heart attack patients who participated in a formal exercise program experienced a reduced death rate of 20 to 25 percent. Over time, regular exercise can increase the heart’s ability to pump and this decreased the occurrence of heart attack. More than 3 million Americans suffer from type 2 diabetes but, you can prevent it. Regular exercise can help your body manage blood sugar and insulin levels. During exercise, your body uses sugar from your liver and muscles as energy so, your body will pull as much sugar as it can from the blood stream to replenish its stores of sugar. This effectively lowers your blood sugar. Regular exercise is a key component to keeping your body fully functional. Regular exercise will improve your health by helping you control your weight, reduce your risk of heart disease, and help your body manage blood sugar and insulin levels. Regular exercise will cause the body to burn calories, lower bad cholesterol levels, raise good cholesterol levels, strengthen the heart muscles, opens up the blood vessels, decreased blood pressure, decreases the amount of sugar in the blood, and prevents insulin resistance so, choose health over sickness by getting up and exercising on a regular basis. Your body will thank you for it. ...
