Scott Keane Mr. Splawn 8/30/2008 Baseball Impact Baseball is not only a game to me, but it is my life! I started playing baseball around the age of 8. Playing the game at such a young age was a positive learning experience for me. Baseball taught me many different skills and lessons in life as well. The most important lessons I have gained from baseball have been dedication, teamwork, and leadership. All three will not only help me through baseball, but where ever I decide to go in life as well. I have always had dedication towards the game of baseball, even when I did not feel like being there. When I first started, I was clearly not the best player on the field to say the least. Although I may have not been the best, my dedication to the game made me work extremely hard to try to become the best player I could be where ever I was playing on the field. This year, for instance, I was moved out to centerfield after coming here recruited as a shortstop. Centerfield was a position I hadn’t played much before and did
