-1Increase in Longevity Since 1940 the percentage of elderly Americans has increased markedly. By the year 2050 it is estimated that the proportion of Americans age 85 and older will jump from about 1% to over 5% of the total population. Dramatic increases are also projected for the over-65 age group. By 2050 almost 2/5 of the American population will be above age 65. You are going to have to live with the consequences of these demographic changes. Answer the following questions concerning the effects on society of this rapid increase in the number and percentage of adults over 65. Double space and use complete sentences. Your completed assignment should be at least 1 page long but not longer than 1 ½ pages.
