The Value of the Humanities Darcy Baggs 7/5/2015 4:30:36 PM After reading our text it seems to me that one of the main advantages for studying the humanities is the use of critical thinking. Since we are looking at different cultures/time periods and how language, philosophy, religion, and art evolved there is a lot that can be debated. By studying the humanities it allows one to formulate their own opinions and examine all of these things from different angles. Not only is this beneficial in any career field, but the ability to see things from different perspectives and create one’s own ideas is something greatly useful in life.
