History 331 (Winter 2008) Final Exam Study Guide Part I Answer the following question in a coherent essay. Make sure that you create clear arguments and that you support your arguments with examples from the readings, lectures, and discussions. (30 points) I have argued in class that there was no simple answer to explain the origins of the Holocaust. Instead, the interrelationship of many factors led to the annihilation of European Jewry. Is there an individual or factor that you think was most important in driving the genocidal process? In other words, was there an individual or factor without which you think the final solution could not have occurred? Why? (please make sure to describe the factor AND link it to the final solution) In addition, please also consider columns A and B below. Choose ONE individual or event from EACH column (A and B) and set out whether that individual or event helped to drive the genocidal process. Please explain the relationship (or lack thereof) between the individual/event that you have chosen and the development and execution of the Final Solution. ( The items in Column A and Column B are examples only, Instead I will choose six terms total from those we have studied throughout the quarter
