Moreover, it is one of the primary pediatric teaching hospitalsfor Harvard Medical School. The hospital is known to treat more children with complexconditions and rare diseases than any other hospital.Part 1: Environmental AssessmentEnvironmental factors play a central role in healthcare. In Boston Children’s hospital, theAffordable Care Act is one of the environmental factors impacting nearly all facets of healthcare.It is a challenge for providers because of the ever-rising health insurance premiums. Preventativehealth services covered by ACA ensure everyone can access safe and healthy environments. Thisis crucial in fostering public health, more so in low-income communities. The purpose of thispaper is to discuss the SWOT analysis and balanced scorecard of Boston hospital to close the gapand attain quality targets.
