Dennis mails the letter to Tanya’s office to see his car to her on Thursday. On Sunday, having changed his mind, Dennis sent a fax to Tanya’s office revoking his offer. Tanya did not go to her office over the weekend and thus did not learn about the revocationuntil Monday morning, after she had mailed the letter of acceptance. Tanya then demanded that Dennis sell his car to her as promised, but Dennis claimed that no contract existed because he ha revoked his offer prior to Tanya’s acceptance. Revocation is: (1) mutual cancellation of a contract by the parties to it; (2) withdrawing an offer before it is accepted; (3) canceling a document before it has come into legal effect or been acted upon, as revoking a will; (4) to recall a power or authority previously given as cancelling a power of attorney.
