The Philippines, known as an agricultural country, blessed withnatural resources such as fertile soil. Looking back at thehistory our country was known to be the leading rice producers inAsia. Marketing the harvested rice was never a hard issue and thefarmer gained enough profit for the hardship of planting rice.But, how far do we know the struggles of our farmers are facingright now, because of the low prices of rice? Are this enough topay off the struggles they get through and feed their families?How ironic, farmers are the one who feed the country, anddisappointing to know that they can’t even feed themselves andtheir families.We all know, that the Philippines is known for rice production,this is the most important part in terms of food supply, as wellas to our economy.
