A very important trait in businesses is the use of flexibility in the contact terms during the negotiation process. It is used by many executives as a tactic to create a client base and lock in customers once flexibility is shown at the start of the contracts. Flexibility is also one of the key in decision making for investments and long term contracts and also shows courtesy to the client which influences his behavior. 2. What is the value of listening as part of one’s total communication skills? Effective listening is what makes a person a better communicator because effective listening to the clients or associates or supervisors helps a person respond properly and accurately of the question being asked. Effective listening although requires great practice to master the art of maintenance of public relationships.
