THE VISVA-BHARATI ACT, 1951
( NO. XXIX OF 1951)
An Act to declare the institution known as Visva-Bharati to be an institution
of national importance and to provide for its functioning as a unitary,
teaching and residential university.

Central Government. It has been referred to as the Principal Act, vide Sec. 2 of the Amendment

Published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary Part-II–Section 1, dated November 3, 1971.

research, the different cultures of the East on the basis of their underlying unity.

Asia.
