Education and women’s education   growing education for everyone, Russian  women can enter scientific labs, 1867 a Russian women gets a medical degree,  1876 Alexander II opens up universities for women c. Nationalism   the French revolution instituted the idea of a nation state, citizens  of a country not servants of a ruler d. Romanticism   artistic movement, return to a more organic view of the world,
