Benjamin Franklin Benjamin Franklin’s life embodies the American Dream. He shows the opportunity of America with his rags to riches life. He becomes successful through his hard work and studious approach to life. Once he gains his fortune, Benjamin Franklin then dedicated his life to his moral virtues and public service. Throughout his life, Franklin gains success in the opportunity of America and uses his success to help create a successful America. Born in 1706 in Boston, Benjamin Franklin was the fifteenth of seventeen children. He began work for his brother as a printer, which was not a well-respected job at the time. Through disagreements and arguments with his brother, Franklin began to travel to try and find opportunities elsewhere. During his travels to Philadelphia and then to England, Franklin gained connections with the right people through his writing. By 1931, he is able to create his own newspaper, “The Pennsylvania Gazette,” which leads to Franklin gaining fame and fortune. Franklin uses the opportunities given to him to
