Melissa Fuller PS101 A January 31, 2008 It seems that many people think voting is a waste of time because they don’t think that their one vote actually matters. People need to stop seeing this and actually see that their one vote could make a difference or feel like they are getting something out by voting. Using classical and operate conditioning I would be able to increase the number of people that vote and make them come back and vote again. For the classical conditioning I would put out an assortment of free refreshments and snacks for people who have already voted and for the people still waiting in line. This way every time that it is time to vote they will remember that they got free snacks and beverages the last time they came and will decide to vote again so they can get the free stuff. In this case, voting would be the neutral stimulus since before handing out the refreshment and beverages, people did not link the two together. The unconditioned stimuli is the food and the unconditioned
