Melissa Fuller PS101A February 21, 2008 Chapter 8 Reaction Paper To completely be able to understand how a person is saying something you need to be able to see their expressions and hear the tone they are using. It is very hard to understand the message someone is trying to get across when you are reading an email or text message they are sending you since you cannot see or hear them. In this exercise it was a lot easier to differentiate the type of mood the females were in than it was when it came to the males. It was easier to hear the tone differences in the female voices and when their pitches changed. When it came to the male voices, it was hard to tell the difference in a lot of the recordings. They all sounded the same; the only ones that stood out were the yelling and the soft toned recordings. When it came to all the recordings, I based what type of mood they were trying to get across based on how fast or slow they were talking, how soft or loud the pitch was, and how serious they were talking.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
