Through modern language,industry,arts,and culture, the Greeks left influence in the world today through the portrayal of their myths.These myths usually casted an overlapping theme, or had the purpose to teach a certain lesson.Likewise, they were viewed as historical evidence because it told us how people used to view the ancient world.However, Greek mythology nowadays proposes a different “purpose. ” Instead of being a traditional and religious component of society, these ancient mythological stories are now looked upon as more of an act of entertainment.Though this is the case,it still has greatly shaped our world today. Having great influence over language,pop culture,and education, it is amazing to see how Greek mythology is still incorporated in order to engage and persuade people of modern culture . As a value of self-expression and form of communication amongst others, language could easily be considered one of the most important attributes to a culture.However, where did our language originate? When discussing origins of language, Greek mythology’s impact is often quite understated.Ancient Greeks had a very strong influence on Latin,and thus on English.
