The Israelites do not believe Moses. End: 13-27 Moses and Aaron’s genealogies. Characters: Moses, God, Israelites Style: discouraged Intent: Describes the next steps in the Moses story, and describe Moses and Aaron’s ancestry. Questions: Why would Moses doubt his ability to convince people when God had already given him signs to show people? Exodus 7: The First Signs Structure: Beginning: 1-7 God prepares Moses to meet Pharaoh. Middle: 8-13 God turns the staff in to a snake. End: 14-24 Waters turn to blood Characters: God, Moses, Aaron, Pharaoh, Pharaoh’s officials Style: impressive Intent: Shows how Pharaoh’s heart was hardened against God’s signs. Questions: What “dark arts” did the officials use to imitate Moses’ signs?
