My Dream Career 2 My Dream Career Ghost of Computer Past Looking at the movie iRobot was probably my turning point in wanting to be involved in computer science. When you think about computers you’re original thought is a desktop or maybe even a laptop but not a robot that can think all by itself. At that point it wasn’t really clear what field that I actually wanted to go into. I didn’t know much about computers, I just knew that computers were very interesting at the time, and there were so many possibilities to learn about. I would have never thought computers to be as powerful as they are in this day and age. My first introduction to an actual computer I was very little. I remember only playing on a computer to retrieve lyrics to my favorite songs, and playing card games. Back then the internet was much more expensive and you didn’t just browse the web like we do now. Besides looking up research for book reports in the library, or learning to type. Then when I graduated from high school I went to join the army. Really not knowing what I wanted to do with my life or what my career path would be at this point. I thought that I could be a receptionist because that still allowed me to work with computers and at that point all I knew how to do was type.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
