Reflecting on Personal Identity and Global2Reflecting on Personal Identity and Global Citizenship“Global citizenship is defined as awareness, caring, and embracing cultural diversity while promoting social justice and sustainability, coupled with a sense of responsibility to act” (Reysen & Katzarska-Miller, 2013, p. 858). When it comes to today's society and the way our world works, we have develop more interconnected with different other cultures than in earlier periods. "Global education serves to equip people to all live together in this world." (Studio12TV, 2012).Unfortunately, just like me, only a certain amount of people have empathy and are aware,or even care about the foreign people from other countries. This is very immoral and wrong, because everything around us, in our world, is becoming more connected. Just because there are people, that I know, that seem to act and feel like this, it does not interfere nor get in my way with my philosophy and opinion. The value of diversity is a vast aspect I believe in and that's a huge part of my goal.
