Naturally, due to historical inaccuracies and the inability to prove who the real author is, some doubt that Paul was the original author. Date and Place : Ephesians and Colossians are rumored to have been written at the same time, which would mean Paul is in prison in Rome, and the dates should be between 57- 60CE. (INT) Historical Context : False teachers plagued the church. Paul was given the task to correct the doctrine by Epaphrus, which was intended to curb the spread of false teachers. (INT) Genre : Epistle, about truth (INT)
