Deena Malkis Reading response #1 What Color Is Your Parachute? Intro and Chapter One One of this weeks readings was a chapter in Richard Nelson Bolles book, What Color is Your Parachute. This reading went into detail about the different ways that people go about finding a job, or at least trying to get an interview. This assignment taught me a lot that I didn’t know, as well as reinforce some things that I had been previously told. This reading taught me a lot about how to search for a job. I knew that there were many ways to find a job, however I had never actually realized how many ways there were. I was glad that the reading discussed that using more than four options was not a very good idea, because I had always thought that the more outlets you had, the better. I think that this chapter also helped to more clearly define some of the ways to go about looking for a job. It also did a great job stating the five best and worst ways to go about the job hunt. I truly believe that all parts of this section made complete sense. I know from
