Ben Bridges 11/12/07 Eng.100-13 Dorm vs. Apartment Living in a dorm and an apartment are two different experiences. They both have their own up’s and down’s. I have been living in a dorm and I believe as though an apartment is better meant for me. I see more positives in an apartment life than I do in a dorm. There are the obvious positives of dorm life, which include free heat, water, and electricity, safety, close proximity of the campus, and more people near you that could help you with work because they have the same major. These are all very important, but seem to be overshadowed by the negatives. Living in a dorm means one must live with other people who might be messy and disorganized, which often cause you to be the same. All the music and loud voices keep one up late at night and make it hard to concentrate on work. One doesn’t have any privacy or own space in the dorm either. Then there are the apartment accommodations. The negatives include being
