process that resulted in this “home of the free; the land of the brave” we call home. While one of
our greatest liberties is the freedom to evaluate and criticize the decisions made by our elected
officials, it is also valuable to reflect on the good things the US Government provides for
the people of America today .
Task: You will be answering the following prompt:
Evaluate the extent to which the American government protects the common good of the
people.
You will research TWO EVENTS occurring in the past year (since September 2020) which
proves your thesis regarding the fact that the American Government protects and serves the
people of America today, you will also provide a concession paragraph with the other side of the
argument explain when the American Government has failed to protect the people. You will
write an essay with 4-paragraphs, appropriate lengths, typed (TNR, 12-pt font,
double-spaced), no more than 2 pages-including an introduction with thesis, 2-body
paragraphs, and a conclusion.
