Over the years, with the advent of new technology and the ease with which information can be shared, home improvement has boomed and become a part of nearly everyoneas' lives. Entire television channels, magazines, and books are devoted to the subject, and numerous people make their living off this lucrative enterprise. Now, with stores such as Home Depot and Lowe's, home improvement is not a task left to professionals, but something that anyone can do. Home improvement has become this popular because of the availability of resources, the widespread ownership of houses, and human instinct. Before stores like Home Depot opened their doors to the public, if someone wanted to find the tools and materials necessary to build a shack, they would have to go to a different manufacturer for each. This made doing the work themselves very unappealing, and hiring someone to do it for the house a much better option. Ever since the first 'how-to' book was published however, men and women alike have been better option....
