Objective: To study the fundamental theory and applications of engineering mechanics. Students successfully completing this course will: recognize the way in which simple systems resist forces and moments; be able to simplify a complex force/stress analysis problem down to one that can be analyzed; understand the fundamentals of analysis of mechanical elements and structural members often encountered in engineering practice. Textbook : Engineering Mechanics- STATICS , R.C. Hibbeler (11 th Edition). Please bring your textbook to class. Prerequisite/Corequisite : Math 1500 / Phys 2750 Homework : It does not matter how you acquire knowledge, you may seek help from anyone. However, the final work has to be yours. Do NOT copy! Homework is due at the beginning of the class period.
