Cell Biology 116B Spring 2008 Homework 1 This Assignment is due Wednesday Feb 13 at the beginning of class. Following the first day of Cell lab, one of the students, U. Carrie Oat, was heard announcing, “This class really gives me a headache.” She promptly popped several Tylenol (acetaminophen) into her mouth. Another student is heard muttering under his breath, “Maybe if she didn’t party so much last night, she wouldn’t have such a headache.” The next day, she sent an email to her lecture instructor saying she was suffering from nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. She indicated that she thought she was coming down with the flu and was planning to see a doctor shortly. You are the lab technician in the physician’s office that Carrie came to see. After taking down her clinical history and vital signs, the physician began to wonder if maybe she had acetaminophen poisoning.
