Researchers were interested in studying whether maternal smoking during pregnancy is related to the increased rates of crime in adult offspring. Researchers surveyed 35 women during the final trimester of their pregnancy about their smoking habits and then looked at the arrest records of their offspring 30 years later. Experimental Study 2. Researchers at UAB reported that, in a study they did, overweight college women earned an average of 6% less than non-overweight college women. In addition, they found that college men’s earnings increased 2% for each inch increase in height. Correlational Study 3.
