Varona 1Brenny Vergez VaronaReetika DhawaDateAST-130-700.2021Final ReportIntroductionThe study summarizes the voyage exploration to understand the universe and its components. The solar system comprises planets, the sun, planetoids, and other small bodies. The summaryalso explores the beginning of life and the role of evolution in the existence of life. The topicsdiscussed in summary include; nature of astronomy, nature of science, the laws of nature, thenumbers in astronomy, the consequences of light travel time, a tour of the universe, the universeon a large scale, and the universe of the very small. The Nature of AstronomyAstronomy is the study of objects above the Earth's surface and their interaction process. Thehistory of the universe's birth is well documented through the human organization, from the BigBang theory to the present occurrence. Through cosmos evolution, we understand that theuniverse is made up of elements such as carbon, oxygen, calcium, whose reaction led to theformation of complex structures. Over the years, the universe has evolved into a more hospitableplace to live. The universe's shape continues to be shaped by the never-ending evolutionaryprocess. The Nature of Science
Varona 2Science helps reveal the composition of nature through the scientific process of experimentation, observation, testing, and modeling. The scientific methods help understand the nature and thebehavior of the universe. Scientific models are constructed partly from observation andphilosophical beliefs to help understand a particular natural phenomenon and have helpedillustrate the birth of Astronomy. The model states that the sun is the center of the universe, surrounded by all other plants and astronomical objects. The model was constructed after theformulation of the hypothesis. In formulating a hypothesis, the statement must explain thatexperiments can test.Astronomy is also described as an observational science, and astronomists use theuniverse to test based on what they are studying. The advancement in technology has resulted inadvanced devices for observing objects to provide greater details. Some aspects of astronomy arerelated to historical science, as they involve observation of what happened in the universe, andhumans have no control over it. For instance, geologists cannot alter the composition of theEarth, and the same way paleontologists cannot alter and bring back life ancient life. Discoveries
