Personal Reflection Journal Entry 6 From new religious denominations to the growth of the abolition movement, give some thought to the reasons all these changes may have occurred when they did. There are many reasons that aided in, the growth of Religious denominations and the Abolition movement. There were improvements in transportation, which reduced travel times and crop transportation. Then there were technological developments; Samuel Morse invented the Telegraph in 1844. There were changes to the urban landscape, more and more people were moving into cities and working in factories. There was a large immigration from Europe in 1854, which brought more than 428,000 immigrants into the United States. As you can see there are many examples and countless more, my last example is the Free Black Communities.
