Leadership : How does imitation theory explain leadership and how might it be used to provide leadership in your group? This essay will argue that the appropriate leadership is useful for advancing, promoting the benefit of a workgroup with the usage of imitation theory. Leadership is defined as a process of social influence where a person collaborates with others in the accomplishment of a common task (Wikipedia 2014). A leader is somebody who guides or directs a group; leader also is the one who people follow (Wikipedia 2014). Zigarelli (2013) said that there are 10 leadership theories in management literature, which are linked to imitation theory. Leadership gives a design structure to the human condition of imitation (Metcalfe 2014). A leader will set norms, giving members within his group to imitate. It is useful because : Leadership is different to the management; leadership is more than the management (Metcalfe 2014). A leader decides what the problems are and makes the solutions to solve problems while a manager is applying the solution made by the leader (Metcalfe 2014).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
