The ethical climate within an organization is a significant factor that affects thebehavior of employees. The importance of ethics within an organization havebecome very important in the current business ecosystem. It is an essentialcomponent of every business. The performance of employees and the achievementof organizational goals is directly related to the workplace’s ethical climate, and antmalfunction in it has a direct impact on the performances. The ethical climate isusually built and maintained by the leaders, who ought to have the adequate tools forleadership.The purpose of this paper is to look at the value of an ethicalatmosphere in the workplace, as well as the biases that influence moral decision-making. In addition, an ethical dilemma will be discussed, as well as how the issuemay have been prevented by creating a strong ethical atmosphere.The ethical work climate is a collection of common formally and informallyconstructed views of processes and rules that impact ethical behavior expectations.In recent years, researchers as well as practitioners have focused their attention onthis construct, considering its direct influence both on individual and organizationalperformance outcomes and behaviors. When contrasting ethical cultures thatencourage prosocial conduct to those that encourage more individualistic behavior, itbecomes clear that the former is more closely linked to job performance and goodattitudes and behaviors among employees (Teresi et al., 2019).According to Victor and Cullen, ethical environment may be described as acollection of shared views of processes and regulations, both official and informal,that create ethical behavior expectations inside an organization or a corporation.Olson expanded on this term, claiming that ethical environment is "the setting inwhich ethical action and decision-making take place". As a result, ethical
environment keeps track of behavioral rules that assist people understand what isacceptable and what is not within firms (Teresi et al., 2019).
