Introduction:Diversity:Celebration of Cultural Heritageis a one-day conference that is expected to beattended by about five hundred (500) people, consisting of students from STI College Tacurong and otherparticipating schools.The event will be held on June 6, 2021 (Monday), 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and theevent venue will be held at the biggest function hall of the hotel to cater the number of attendees, whichis the Emerald Function Hall of Carlitos Hotel in Isulan Sultan Kudarat, Philippines. The purpose of thisevent is to instill new insights and knowledge about the cultural differences of the people of Region XII.Committee Reports:Committee/StafResponsibilityChallenges met/how theyresolvedConclusion andRecommendationsJay-Ann(EventHead/Marketingand Program Head)I oversee the organization,the whole program, and theevent.Also, I am responsiblefor disseminating the task foreachcommittee.Everydecision-making regardingthe success of the eventshould have my approval. Iam also in charge of theeventmarketing,fromcreating a Facebook page forthe Event Organization andevenPrintingflyers,tarpaulins, Photo walls, andAttendees Souvenirs. Sinceour team is limited withhuman resources, It is alsomy job to bring to life theproject as the Program head.Understafed-thischallengewasresolvedbyassumingtheduties of twopeople by oneperson(forexample,Iassumedtwootherdutiesbecause no onewill do it).LackofExperience-Iresolved this bygatheringinformation thatwill be helpful forme to becomeefficient as anEvent Head of thisproject.LackofAVEquipmentonthe event venue-this issue wasresolvedbythinkingofalternativesolutions such asrentingAVequipmentinstead.It is impendent to avoidunderstaffingsince ourteam consists only ofthree (3) people. Thebest way to overcomethis is to multi-task. Andto learn all of the rolesand responsibilities ofall other committees.Thelack of experienceof our staff andcommittee is not ourfault since we are juststarting as an eventmanagementorganization. Enable toovercomethesechallenges,gatheringinformation,researching,andtraining is the bestsolution.Lack of AV Equipmentat the event venue isour lapses as a team. Asite visit is a must, andchecking all of the typesof equipment availableat the event venue willbe implemented.
Brandon(Food andBeverage)Brandon is in charge ofoverseeing the Food andBeverage preparation for theevent. He also creates themenu for the event, fromchoosing the best food andbeverage that the attendeeswould like.And even thedesign of the menu is incharge to him. He workedwith the chef and cook ofthe hotel to ensure that theproper measures of foodhandling in food preparationare strictly executed andobserved.
