UNIT 3: 2 When I read through each all the different management styles, there were takeaways on most that I felt could be added to my chosen management style. I chose the Management by Walking around (MBWA) the reason why I chose this style is because it exemplifies the type of leader that I would like to be. In this type of leadership Managers value and want their employee’s opinions, this is what will not only build a tight bond between management and their employees but also employees will remain loyal to the company. Looking to become a business owner down the road it is essential to know, understand and develop these basic skills to be an effective leader. The downside to using this type of management style is as a manager your scope is limited which can cause a manager to make quick decisions that may not necessarily be the best one. This type of management style would work for any generation baby boomers, generation x
