Mr. McCarter English 102 14 July 2014 Unit 3 RR 1 A “doll house” is a play written by Ibsen that involves a woman named Nora and her husband Torvald. The plot is that Nora borrowed money to save her husband’s life. The whole play is about how Nora handles the situation and tries to keep her husband from finding out about the forgery she made to brow money to save her husband’s life. By reading the first acts of the play, one might get the idea that Nora is a child person who does not know how to care for themselves. However, that reaction might change as the audience start to get to the end of the play. Throughout the play Nora is expecting a miracle at the end of the play. She tells Linda first about it. She says, “Oh, how should you ? It's the miracle comings to pass.”(Ibsen 1336). She then explains that the miracle that she expecting is that once Torvald read the letter that tell about the forgery; he will forgive her right away and will understand that she did it for a good
