Cierra Carter Introduction to Marketing Unit 4 Individual Project Pampers is sold in many countries and is Proctor & Gamble’s largest brand. Pampers offers a variety of baby and toddler products including its number one sellers which are diapers and wipes. Pampers developed the easy to use product for consumers, they were the first. In 1950, Victor Mills was looking for an easier diaper to use than cloth diapers when changing his grandchild. One competitor of Pampers would be Huggies. Huggies is their competitor based on the fact that Huggies prices are lower for the amount of diapers that you receive in comparison to Pampers. Pampers prices are high and you get much less diapers. The image of the product was compromised when consumers stated that chemical burns were produced as a result of their children wearing Pampers but to date, this has not been confirmed. The strength of the Pampers product is the fact that they are number one and the largest brand in many countries.
