Prison Administration
Prison is a legal institution recommended by a country’s constitution for the confinement
of lawbreakers for causing crime or social disorder and subjecting them to curriculum schedules
that would help improve their behavior. The environment at a prison should be suitable for both
prisoners and personnel. The essence of their job makes it imperative that prison administrators
possess exceptional leadership, educational and office knowledge (Palomino, 2012). The primary
goal of the administration is to enhance the process of transforming inmates’ behavior through
the efficient use of resources and enforcement of regulations.
The daily duties of prison offices range from supervising and educating inmates to
ensuring security at the facilities. They also need to monitor the process of behavioral
transformation and give feedback to policy makers to assist in the formation of better policies
